    Society Awards

    These awards are intended to recognize and encourage research in the field of clinical and basic science of the skeleton and mineral metabolism. They are given out every two years at the IBMS international joint meeting.

     

    IBMS Pieter Gaillard Founders Award

    In recognition of outstanding contributions, research, leadership, and dedication to the International Bone & Mineral Society and the field of bone and mineral research.

    IBMS John G. Haddad, Jr. Award

    For outstanding contributions by an IBMS member to clinical research in bone and mineral metabolism, that have led to significant changes in understanding of physiology or disease, or to changes in disease management or prevention.

    IBMS D. Harold Copp Award

    For outstanding achievements by an IBMS member in basic research in the fields of bone and mineral metabolism that have led to significant changes in understanding of physiology or disease.

    IBMS Herbert A. Fleisch Award

    In honor of the late Herbert Fleisch, this award recognizes the outstanding achievement by an IBMS Member aged 45 years or younger (by December 31 of the year the award is presented) in the field of bone and mineral research.

    IBMS Young Investigator International Travel Award (New!)

    This award to the amount of $5000 USD will provide funding for a well planned trip for an early career researcher  to visit research groups within their given focus area to present their PhD or post doc work and/or learn/develop new skills, thereby facilitating the formation of new collaborative links. This could also include funding for the awardee to attend and present at an IBMS supported international meeting. Click here for more details on this award and the application.
