It is our pleasure to announce the 12th International Conference on Cancer-Induced Bone Disease (CIBD) will be held from 15 to 17 November in the stunning host city of Lyon, France. Historically the CIBD provides its delegates cutting edge information and stimulating discussion pertaining to bone oncology. The International Bone and Mineral Society (IBMS) is pleased to present this event in the effort to facilitate its vision “to create and nurture a global scientific network dedicated to promoting bone health.”

Our host city of Lyon is a vibrant metropolis with a unique architectural and cultural heritage. The third largest city in France, Lyon boasts a dynamic demographic, with its strategic location between Northern and Southern Europe. Each year Lyon attracts millions of international visitors for its Festival of Lights – or Fête des Lumiéres – a celebration you will see the city preparing for throughout CIBD 2012. Lyon is easily reachable by plane and train, and boasts one of the country’s most efficient public transportation systems.
